Too often women feel too ugly to be at the party, too ugly to raise their hand and too ugly to participate.

The fear of ugly is quietly taking women out of conversations and situations where they absolutely belong. It's lowering their voice and minimising their contributions out of fear of bringing attention to their appearance.

The Ugly Girls Club is surrendering to unrealistic beauty ideals and accepting ourselves as 'ugly' in order to prioritise our real contributions to the world.

To join is to actively acknowledge, praise and value women for their ideas, actions, humour and intelligence before their appearance.

Welcome to the club, ugly.
